How long have you been in business?
byRemote has been in business since 1998 but officially renamed the business in 2002. We were the first provider to offer off-site hosted storage of surveillance video.
What is your primary product or service?
The byRemote Surveillance Center is our Video as a Service (VaaS) product with three platforms including Hosted Video as a Service (HVaaS), Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) and Managed Video Data Center (MVDC). We offer on-demand access to live and recorded surveillance cameras via the Internet to international clients and channel partners.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
With our team members coming from IT, web design, telecommunications and hospitality backgrounds, it was a natural fit to move in to network-based cameras embedded in to a website for remote viewing. The business developed further from there and introduced our own software in 2002.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
byRemote, Inc. was the first provider to offer web-based camera management and recording software as a service via the Internet. We remain a leader in the surveillance industry by continuing to launch new products and services which allow our clients and partners to store their video remotely.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
byRemote, Inc. is located in Fargo, ND. Our growth is through our international channel partner program where we continue to partner with Telecommunications Companies, Internet Service Providers, Value-Added Resellers, Network Integrators, Security Companies, IP Video Manufacturers and Installers.
